download twrp img file and use fastboot to upload the recovery? "fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.x.x-xxx.img" just gotta find which twrp you want. by the by, I just flashed the files from here and now I am getting a boot screen instead of stuck at bootloader like you ...

as far as I understand the problem... yes. But I am no dev so I couldn't say for 100% sure. If you are going where I think you are - going back to the last of the stock rom versions, it might be a good idea. I am going to try one or two more before doing that myself ;)

Same here. I read a few threads where some created files to stop GPS being updated and updating the correct Google play services APK but it still kept crashing. If anyone finds a way please post up - the xoom was handed to our young bloke and he is missing it heaps. If not - then time to bin...

Still seems to be an issue - looking for a rom and gapps combo that works myself currently.
