I updated my prerooted thread with 6.2.8.1_r2. This includes the new TZ and video playback seems to work.

Flashing back to 6.2.8.0 works for me.

So I just got around to testing this 6.2.8.1, and see the freeze as well. My roms I remove the fuse blower. Are you saying its still not safe to update the TZ? I remmeber in the past I've included TZ updates once or twice.

Yeah. I just downloaded this and inspected it. Unfortunately once the fuse is blown, there is no going back. I saw they added a script that did nothing a few versions ago, and I see now they've updated it to blow the fuse. I'll be putting out a prerooted ROM soon that disables the fuse blowing.

As I suspected. The current 6.2.7.1 is different than the one at the end of March. So they must have pulled it and then issued a correction. I have updated the OP with 6.2.7.1.
