But as stated above, with legacy Viper (2.5.0.5 material from magisk legacy) it works perfectly! That's why I think it's something in the new implementation.

Misunderstood your post. On my Pixel 2, running latest Preview5 and with my 1660 to 1671 upgrade path, I have no issues on fingerprint root granting.

smooth update: just removed the -w from flash-all script, booted once, went back to TWRP to flash latest Flash Kernel + Magisk.

Not sure. I installed it by unpacking the factory image and removing the -w from the flash-all script

I'm having issues flashing this Kernel on DP3. It's failing with a system partition mount error. Tried another kernel (ElementalX) and it installs OK. Your kernel was installing and working perfectly on DP2 Thanks for the hard work

So from what I can understand, this will not grant root for stock devices and its only for previously rooted Fire tablets, right?
