Post SONY TABLET S User Reviews

Well you have like 4 gigs set aside for apps and appears to be plenty, my tablet is loaded with numerous apps and havent had a problem. If you plan on storing alot of music and movies (books dont take up much) then may as well go for the 32gig if you have the $ and then you can always buy an...

    Post [Q] Battery life

Yeah Ill echo the comments here, battery life is absolutely superb and the responsiveness of the unit for the price is fantastic. Sadly its a case of if only B&N....to fully realize what the tablet would be capable of.

    Post Price reduction at PCWorld!

Find that hard to believe, I mean wasnt some shop in UK offering a free LCD Tv with purchase of S Tablet on release? That alone would have broken 500 sales. http://onlygizmos.com/sony-uk-managed-to-sell-only-500-android-tablets-in-over-a-month/2011/11/ that is the link btw there is no source...

Post Sony Tablet S - should I get one?

Mine broke and was looking for a replacement, something smaller, better screen (Xoom always had a washed out look to me) and S tablet fit the bill. And yeah I dont get any complaints about Youtube, it works perfectly. My only wish for the app was if you rotate the device it kept playing the...

Post Sony Tablet S - should I get one?

Very good browsing experience though Id recommend using Opera over the stock. Stock keyboard is a bit laggy, Ive switched to split keyboard app since that was my preference on previous tablets anyway but yeah can always go the bluetooth route. The display is top notch, its bright but not...

Post SONY Tablet S vs. Apple iPad 2

Depends entirely on what you plan to do. Both are top notch tablets, both are great for media consumption. The biggest advantage for Ipad is obviously sheer volume of apps, the biggest S Tabl advantage is the remote control and Playstation ability. Biggest negative for Ipad is no ability to...

Post [Q] Do you notice the screen size difference?

Not at all in fact I think the screen is near perfect in size for a tablet. My preference for screen has been Ipad's "square" type screen and Sony's smaller screen vs 10.1. I imagine Samsung's 8.9 would be similar too. You can use whatever launcher you like.

Post [Q] Do you notice the screen size difference?

Er yeah its suppose to be smaller than 10.1 :) Its advertised as a 9.4 screen and yeah you can use other launchers and uninstall most of the apps that arent system related.

    Post Undecided

Imo if want an android tablet, Sony is the way to go...it isnt perfect and sony has some fixes that are necessary as well as some annoyances (sony reader opening in landscape and not being able to use portrait mode until you actually open a book) but it is the best choice.
