The model number of the phone (RM-846) isn't showing up on Nokia Care Suite. I guess firmware isn't available yet then!

I currently have a Lumia 710 (Orange UK) which I use with Virgin UK. However, I have just made the plunge to buy a Lumia 620 which comes locked on o2 UK. Is there a way to unlock the Lumia 620 like there is the 710/800? i.e. flash a bootloader and install a custom ROM? or should I resort to...

I have tried this but when the phone goes to flash it hangs for a second and then says the phone is in the wrong mode :eek:

Mine doesn't show a drive either :( really don't want to have to change phones. Any idea how I can update the device? I used to be able to use cabs but I am now getting an error when I try to update that way - so I need to install a rom from scratch.

hasn't worked for me, still shows up as drivers not installed in Device Manager. When I point towards the files it doesn't accept them or if I do a computer/internet search. Just says driver cannot be found. Any ideas? ---------- Post added at 10:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:03 PM...

Chynkinese, did you work out how to flash a rom with the NCS or any other software? I am also getting the 80180048 error and have a Qualcomm bootloader. I am stuck on firmware 8107.

Still getting the same error: I have tried flashing with NCS but windows cannot find a Qualcomm Driver? Any other ideas of how I can get the update?
