Just unrooted and updated from 7.0 to 8.0.0 and v9 of baseband. Trying to root again not using last method that seemed to cause a lot of lag and overheating

I was able to unroot and install 8.0 but when I try to flash twrp it gets an error. I tried a few times with same result. any suggestions?

No go for me then. I have to have root so I can keep my adaway working! I have an S6 from work without root and the ads drive me bonkers.

Can I update and still have root with mine? I have att s5 4.4.2 g900aucu2ang3 I rooted with towel root when I got it but froze the att updates when I did.I still will want root but updating the rom would be nice.

Just updated the flashfire app in play. When I click open all it does is spin forever trying to get root access. I have a att G900A running 4.4.2. It's rooted since I got it with towelroot and att unlocked it. Looking to update to whatever I can from 4.4.2

Carrier unlock, I got AT&T to unlock it by submitting the forms to them. Now I can presumably use the phone on any carrier the phone supports.

Will it lose it's unlocked status? Sorry for the questions, it seems the s3 was so much easier to install roms onto because there was no knox on there to worry about bricking the way the s5 seems to be.
