Post [Q] Fastboot on Windows 8.1

OMG I have been struggling all day with this issue, and this is the first thing that worked for me perfectly. I don't care that it only works on 3.0, it works. Thank you so much!

Post HTC Drivers for Windows 8.1

And you're using Windows 8.1 right? I just tried that, did a system restore to before I had any drivers whatsoever installed...then installed the latest HTC Sync. The adb drivers work fine but as soon as I reboot into the bootloader I get the same USB enumeration error and fastboot doesn't work...

    Post Link to PH39IMG.zip?

Dude, that looks amazing. My issue is that it seems to modify the Juopunutbear ICS HBOOT and not the Stock HBOOT. I'm not sure it will work. Does anyone know if I'm reading that right?

    Post [UTILITY|S-OFF] RegawMOD Bootloader Customizer

Whoa whoa, question. If a phone has a stock bootloader...will this program not be able to modify the text in the stock HBOOT? Will that result in a brick? This would be very important to know.

The RUU works but keeps the bootloader status as "Re Locked" instead of "locked" .. I have been told flashing the zip resets this as well.

Yeah that's what I was thinking...that was my goal by posting this here. Thanks for the info though, I'm not gonna flash anything without knowing exactly what it is.

Post ATT Warranty Return to Stock

Haha its cool. She actually already has the replacement. I don't think it's a huge issue but if they want to be jerks they can see that the bootloader had once been unlocked when she sends the old phone back. I highly doubt it will be an issue, but its always difficult to know. Thanks...

Post ATT Warranty Return to Stock

Yeah, it's actually the S-Off process that resets it to lock. I did that at one point but had to unlock bootloader again. S-ON process doesn't unfortunately reset it. The issue is, the phone is no longer with me, it belongs to a friend of mine who has moved far away. I wouldn't want her to...

Post ATT Warranty Return to Stock

Thanks, but that's not what I'm trying to do. The device was already once S-Off and is now back to S-On, however the bootloader still shows its state as re locked and not locked. I know putting it S-Off again will lock it, but that's something I'd rather not get into. Thanks though. If...

Post ATT Warranty Return to Stock

Thanks so much. It's going to be sent back to ATT, so service center I'm guessing (hence the worry). It's just unfortunate that both reliable links to this file on the internet both recently got broken haha. Very frustrating. If you have, you'll officially be my favorite person on the...

Thread ATT Warranty Return to Stock

Hi, I'm trying to return a Vivid to make it completely stock for warranty purposes. Everything is good, but the bootloader status still shows "re locked" instead of "locked", which has me worried. I know flashing the PH39IMG.zip file to return to factory settings will set the state back to...

    Post Link to PH39IMG.zip?

I found 3 PH39IMG.zip files posted on random hosting sites as potentials. Can anyone confirm for me if any of these 3 would work? I don't care if it's ICS or Gingerbread, I just want to return the phone to stock. http://d-h.st/yPN this one looks promising...as it says GB unroot Stock. I...

    Post [SUPERGUIDE] ICS-Root-Flash-Stock

I would like to also request a new link for that PH39IMG.zip file. It's a preferrable method to RUU because of warranty purposes (bootloader will display "locked' instead of "re locked").

    Thread Link to PH39IMG.zip?

For warranty purposes, I need to return an HTC Vivid to stock. However, after running the RUU, the bootloader status still shows it as "re locked". Supposedly, instead of running the RUU, if you use the PH39IMG.zip file, the bootloader will display "locked". I'm not sure how much this will...

Post [HOW-TO] Return Your Device to S-ON after S-OFF

Thank you so much. That is very helpful. Does anyone know how terrible it is for warranty purposes if the device does say "re locked"? Why is this not a bigger issue that's talked about on here when it comes to returning to stock? Thanks for any potential info.
