Thank you! I'm also thinking about flashing to JB (which would remove the root, i think?) Anyhow, thank you very much, guys.

    Thread [Q] xperia z C6602 10.1.1.A.1.253 root?

Hey everyone! I currently use the xperia z C6602 to 10.1.1.A.1.253 firmware and want to root it to get JB (I have the France version imported here to the US, but never got the update). I also want to root it for other reasons (to get rid of bloatware, etc). I tried following this method on...

Post [Q] Xperia Z 10.1.1.A.1.253 firmware how can i root it?

Hi, i have the same exact issue as the OP for upgrading and i tried to unlock the bootloader. However, i'm stuck at the part where it says i have to "Point to the usb_driver folder where you placed the android_winusb.inf-file, and select the Android Boot loader Interface-file." Windows 7 tried...

Post [GUIDE][07-07-2014] List of phones in/compatible with ATT Family/MediaNet Plan

Basically, any non-smartphone. If you want a smartphone at that price, you're probably looking at one of those first, 2nd or maybe 3rd generation of phones, such as the Sony Xperia X10. They're so slow and buggy compared to today's phones, i personally don't recommend much. If you're looking at...

Post [GUIDE][07-07-2014] List of phones in/compatible with ATT Family/MediaNet Plan

it's definitely not by IMEI lookup. I checked my IMEI and all the online registries and all of them recognized a valid IMEI but didn't have any info on my 6603 Sony Xperia Z at all. Only one website recognized the IMEI, but listed it as a different phone - a Nokia 6230 (yes, that former...

Post [Q] How to remove demo mode?

Thank you. I just contacted my AT&T store reps and they informed me this was a floor demo model. I got this phone from Negri Electronics as a new, sealed phone and was surprised it was a demo phone when i paid full retail price for it. If not for your help, I would've gone to the painstaking...

Thread [Q] How to remove demo mode?

I've just got my Xperia Z phone today (6602), inserted SIM card, personalized it and everything, but every single time i press the power button, it enters the demo mode on the phone. The wallpaper and brightness settings always reset no matter how i change it. I went through the apps, but...

Post [GUIDE][07-07-2014] List of phones in/compatible with ATT Family/MediaNet Plan

it's a bit of old news, but evidently, the Sony Xperia Z (6603 variant) is flagged: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2189567 Anyone checked in on the 6602 variant? I ordered mine a few days ago and I'm a bit worried now.

Try checking your account again to see if data service is still there. If it still is, i'm sure it's just an APN settings problem. In that case, just re-input your APN settings again.

Has anyone gotten the Xperia Z and can confirm whether or not it works? Please message me (or post here, since i doubt ATT will grab hold of the Z, because they plan to get the ZL)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe all iphones are flagged already (with this one exception of a 4S on a prepaid plan, but there's not much to confirm it).

Post [GUIDE][07-07-2014] List of phones in/compatible with ATT Family/MediaNet Plan

Screen size (I honestly don't care too much about resolution, since they're all about the same nowadays, but I'm expecting something around a 4.2 in screen) and CPU. More importantly, battery life, since I often kill phone batteries in less than a year. Lastly, is the battery swappable. I love...

Post [GUIDE][07-07-2014] List of phones in/compatible with ATT Family/MediaNet Plan

That is very true, but if you just use it for basic stuff, then i'd say it's rather worth it. I only pay $18 a month for 2GB with speedboost. This is a MUCH better deal than AT&T's $30 plan. But I agree, if you go past 4GB, Clearwire's network is a lot better. FreedomPop's current speeds are...

Post [GUIDE][07-07-2014] List of phones in/compatible with ATT Family/MediaNet Plan

Sorry I saw this post a bit late, but you might want to look into a service known as Freedompop. They use Sprint's 4G network and charges fairly good/competitive rates that are actually affordable. The only downside is that the devices sometimes lose signal within the city and take a while to...
