Can anyone confirm if MHL is working?

I wasn't able to install a apk and I thought it may have had something to do with my SD but apperently I was wrong. I made a nandroid backup and flashed version 34 over 33.3 and the issue was resolved. :D

Quick noobie question before I upgrade to 34 from 33.3. If I format my internal SD will I lose all my settings and apps from the Play Store?
