How should I go about rooting my phone? I don't want to brick it. I managed to brick another lg g2 once I succesfully rooted and tried putting custom rom on it.

I haven't tried updating anything once I got it to work, and I'm honestly hesitant to even try. I don't have any Boost bloatware, it's all showing up as Sprint. I wouldn't mind trying to root it but again last thing I want to do is screw up my now fully functional phone.

Over a month later and I'm still dealing with no data. I was just told by a rep that their tech told them that currently this phone isn't supporting any data support which I know is bull****. The tech told him that it only supports text and phone calls. The rep doesn't even believe him but they...

For the record. I attempted to do this over kitkat initially. Once I got phone and text capability I wanted the look of lollipop so I updated OTA via WIFI. Hasn't changed the fact I can't get data and all those other problems I've stated I've had.
