    Post Root 14.4.A.0.157 [ LB / UBL ]

Same thing happened to me.... This phone is such a pain in the ass to update and root compared to my previous phone... Why can't Google just make a small high end Nexus phone. I'd pay a premium for that. /end rant

Hey guys. Is this worth the upgrade from 108 or should I just wait to do a clean install once we get lollipop?

Post [Q] How to Remove Favorites Bar from Recent Apps List

After a clean install of fw v.108, I was deleting the usual list of sony apps when I noticed a cluster of three apps in titanium backup I guess I just hadn't noticed before. They're boxed in yellow in the picture below. I erased all of them and voila! No more favorites bar. You have to...

Post For Z1 Compact owners: any regrets?

I've had my Z1C for around 2 months now and it's an awesome phone. I have no complaints about the hardware. I have no regrets, but I am discouraged with the amount of dev support, or more accurately lack of it. I'm coming from Samsung and Nexus phones, so dev support has never been an issue...

Post [GUIDE] Update firmware with locked/unlocked bootloader & root (14.3.A.0.761)

I made sure I could flash supersu in philz recovery before proceeding, but while I was trying to flash the newest lockeddualrecovery (step 2), my phone rebooted. Now I can't enter recovery, and I'm not rooted. Does this mean I have to go through the entire rooting procedure again before I can...

Thread [Q] Gmail Notification in Status Bar

Is there any way to show more than one gmail icon in the status bar for multiple gmail accounts? I have three gmail accounts, and the status bar only shows one gmail icon when I get email from different accounts. I'm running stock KK rooted.

    Post [Q] Gravitybox

I really needed some functionality from GB, so I installed it last night. I get the same stock battery icon glitch, but all the other battery icons work. It's the only bug I've noticed so far.

Post [GUIDE] Update firmware with locked/unlocked bootloader & root (14.3.A.0.761)

Has anyone tried this version of GB? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51370711 The GB dev made it specifically for people running stock KK for the Z1, but it might work for the Z1C as well.

    Post [Q] Gravitybox

I haven't tried yet, but this modified version supposedly fixes all the problems with stock KK for the Z1. I don't know if it works with the Z1C, but it might. I'm not feeling very adventurous, so feel free to test it for us. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51370711

Post Third party camera app vs sony's camera app

Is there anyway to change which camera app opens from the lockscreen. I want FV5 to launch from the lockscreen not sony's app. I'm running stock KK.

Post [GUIDE] Update firmware with locked/unlocked bootloader & root (14.3.A.0.761)

I upgraded a few hours ago, and everything went very smoothly. I did a clean install, and everything seems to be working well. I don't have the notification sound issue, or anything else that's been mentioned in this thread... so far. :D Thanks!

Can anyone tell me if gravitybox works with this version of KK? Also, if I want to do a clean install, I just have to wipe data in recovery before formatting /system and flashing, correct?

Post Feedback from a bigger screen

I'm coming from a N4 as well. It really depends what you use your phone for and how big a phone you're willing to carry around. I use my phone mainly for calls, txt, and email. I'll occasionally use it for games, web browsing, and youtube vids, so for me, I'm really not sacrificing much going...
