Those who had a Vodafone Froyo ROM installed and have now switched to the stock Sense Froyo: Can you please tell what are the benefits? Is it any faster, have any bugs disappeared?

No, it won't be harder, I think. Probably the update to Froyo will fail with debranded rom, that is all. Don't know if that will ever arrive.

Look here, this might help... others have experienced it too, it does not seem to relate to the update method.

This method does NOT involve rooting. Do one step after the other. First you install the first ROM (non-Vodafone), then you install the second ROM and then the upgrade path to froyo is available to you. This avoids the [140] error. After downgrading as explained in the tutorial.

anybody who does not object to a A1 logo on startup, try this, it worked for me... I am now running FroYo on a previously debranded and now rebranded vodafone Legend.

this gave me froyo with a boot screen from A1 and as far as I can tell no vodafone apps.

I noticed the blinking LED in my car today, too. The HTC battery widget showed 47.3° C (117.1° F).

Worked like a charm. Vodafone branding is where the sun dont shine and I am typing this from my unbranded Legend now. Thanks!

since shipped-roms.com seems to be down, could anybody try and upload the RUU? I'm fed up too with my VF branding and wish to get a clean Legend... thanks from a newbie
