Unfortunately, you can't choose the source. It's definitely not the same source that Google itself is using.

In Nova Launcher you have the option to display weather instead of time/calendar. I am using Nova beta though, and I am not sure if the stable version has it yet.

Yep! I am playing around with it right now. Got delivered around noon today, with the package looking like it had been opened. I made pictures of the package and opened it to see if everything is alright before signing anything.

A faster CPU/GPU, better camera, 2GB Ram, 4G, bigger battery and dust and splash proof are on my list. I think the current screen size is pretty much as big as one can go in a smart phone. Now it's time to focus on battery life and the inner works

Go into the appdrawer, scroll to widgets, choose widgetoid switcher and drag it onto your home screen. A config window will pop up where you can choose the contols you want. At the bottom of that window you need to open advanced and tick notification and widget invisible.
