I am still on v.4 and have made a full backup, now if I was to flash dx version and later on wanted to go back to v.4 can I just restore my backup or do I have to flash v4 bootloader and modem before I restore?

Try arter97 kernel, I have been using it for few days now as my battery was draining fast using stock kernel, but improved greatly after flashing arter97 kernel.
