This method DOES work. The trick is you have to press the vol. up, home, and power buttons as soon as the screen goes black after Odin flash. Hold for 10 seconds and let go all buttons. Just wait let it do it's thing. That's it. Sent from my SM-J700T using XDA-Developers mobile app

I downloaded a update from the ota collection thread. It looks like the update I'm on. I tried renaming it to update.zip, Ota.zip, and just left it alone as it is. I went into recovery and tried applying from sdcard, from phone storage, but nada. It shows it cannot mount sdcard. Then reboots...

Yes I have the exact issue. I have the same version. HTC dev sends unlock.code.bin, flashed successfully but did not unlock boot loader. I can't even root with towelroot and sunshine reboots the phone I'm stuck too.
