Post 8 was a reply to someone asking for instructions on how to install it. The instructions someone posted aren't specific to the XT1096 but this file is definitely specific to ONLY the Verizon (VZW) XT1096.

I just had it in the Download directory but worked fine.

You can also simply put the zip in your phone storage and install it from there within Recovery.

Is this something new? Would this have the fixes for the bug(s) that they supposedly found in the initial 5.1 attempt 3-4 weeks back? Edit -sorry been out of the loop or gave up on waiting. Didn't realize this just came out!

how does one unroot without supersu after flashing this? If i try the "full unroot" option in supersu after flashing this, it just spins and spins and does nothing. EDIT _ after a reboot and doing who knows what (I think i checked a setting in Supersu that grants everything root before hitting...

Because the dev that posted this clearly states in the first post to UNROOT the phone before running the back to stock zip. Specifically, he says to unroot within the SUPERSU app. Does that cover your concerns? Are you saying I don't need to unroot?

every time I use the Unroot option in SUPERSU it just sits and spins for ever and never completes!?!

My GPS app would not see anything with this rom. (June 4 build) I had a FC with Google Play.

are you needing a data connection to make a "call"? If it's a regular call you don't need any data connection. You can turn your data off and still make calls.

No can't seem to see any other reference to it either. I'm using "Slim_normal_gapps.BETA.5.1.x.build.0.x-20140430.zip" with it, wondering if it came from there

Anyone syncing email with an Exchange system? Mine seemed to stop syncing for some reason after a day or less - deleting/re-adding that now to see if it does it again.
