Post Restored Backup not booting properly? "#### has stopped"

Ok, this has given me an idea - I have flashed fresh Cyanogen and now I'm attempting to restore just the 'data' and 'cache' elements of my backup by using the Philz 'Custom Restore' feature...fingers crossed!

Thread Restored Backup not booting properly? "#### has stopped"

Guys, I have an S5 running Cyanogen Lollipop and Philz Touch 6.26.2 as the recovery. I was experimenting with flashing a new camera .ZIP earlier today but BEFORE doing so I used Philz to create a backup. The flash of the .zip for the camera went wrong and ended up prompting the phone to hang on...

Post [MOD][PORT] S5 Camera Porting (9.6 Mpx and Slow Motion Fix 10/08/14)

I just flashed this onto my Cyanogen Lollipop S5 and it killed it, the device didn't even boot-loop, it just hung on the Samsung kernal screen. If this is only for KitKat then please make it FAR more clear on the opening post.

    Post [ROM][5.1.1][EOL][Lollipop][Official][Nightlies] NamelessROM 2.1

Nameless on S3 with f2fs? I have tried installing this rom onto my S3 but after setting f2fs enabled and formatting the various parts of the phone, then flashing this rom - but it just gets stuck on the boot animation and never boots into the OS, I have also struggled to get back into Philz...

Post [Q] Fitbit Flex, BT4 & Custom Roms

Just one thing to try, my FitBit wouldn't initially synchronise with any of my devices (all custom ROM)...but I then tried removing the gel cover and plastic rear battery cover of the phone (an S3), held it very close to the FitBit and it then sync'ed fine! It seems that this new low-power...

Thread I think the time has come...

Having been a very proud HTC Desire owner for almost a year, I upgraded a month ago to the Desire HD - at first I loved it, despite being massively larger it seemed like a superior device. But now, a month on I'm charging the old Desire back up and preparing to transition back to it, in my...

Post HTC Desire Rebooting on its own

I too have this identical problem and so I would assume it is fairly widespread judging by the responses to this thread. I find that the phone does infact still respond, when the screen blanks you can hold the power button (at the top) and feel a vibration as the phone *should* be showing the...

    Thread Confused about Rooting/Romming

Guys, I've had almost every HTC since the early days of the original XDA, I then migrated to a Blackberry Storm2 for a short while but now back in the HTC camp and the proud owner of a Desire. I am with Vodafone and have many apps installed ('Stocks' and 'Footprints' for instance!) that I...

Post Rooting without changing ROM? Some questions.

I'm also very interested in the response to this, as a new Desire user I don't think that the rooting/rom upgrade guide is particularly helpful, it dives far too deeply into the topic before actually talking about the process, what it involves from a complete Desire newbie perspective.

    Post Sponsored Adverts

If its terrible...yes! But thats irrelevant and a completely different context - this site is designed for its users, and putting adverts between every single post is entirely OTT - I had complaints after sticking an advert at the base of each entire thread, I wouldn't dare stick them between...

    Thread Sponsored Adverts

As a forum owner myself, I appreciate the need to fund the site, however adding a sponsored advert between EVERY SINGLE POST within a thread is just ridiculous. It devalues the forum and makes printing a page very frustrating, as well as simply reading a page!! Please please reduce it to every...

    Post [To be Released] -G- ROM's | BlackStone | 6.5 | [OS 21159] | DK.11 | Bad Connection !

Sounds good mate, few bugs/issues I spotted: - Oddity with the volume control whilst on a call, wheel doesn't appear to work properly? - Not enough proper alarm sounds, any chance of expanding on those available so as to add some alarms that would actually wake you up? - 'Certificates' option...

Post IPSEC/L2TP to IPCop VPN server?

Just an update on this - I've tried connecting this morning and now I'm getting something slightly different - a Network Logon prompt, asking for my USername, Password and Domain - the odd thing is that the password that I entered when installin the Certificate has been place in plain text into...
