Thread Questions on how to do a complete, 100% wipe

There have been several threads about this in the past, but I couldn't find one which is actually up-to-date. I have been flashing my N7000 for years now. I've been using several custom recovery menu's and ROMS and re-partitioned my internal storage as suggested here. I currently have the...

Wow, what a timing. Recenlty, my NightOwl CM12 (20151030) started to reboot at random moment. Probably something I did, but I wanted to do a clean install anyway. Might as well get the bleeding edge and grab this one. Thanks!

Yup, that was it. The OTA redownloaded a file and this time it completed updating without any problems.

OTA update failed somewhere, mentioned I should send the log file to Philz (using Philz Recovery). After boot my apps had to be optimised like normal after an update. Guess I better do a clean install soon :) Regarding "problems" with the ROM, there's little to none. I've been using this ROM...

I do not use battery save mode. I often notice that some changes have been made to the ROM in order to 'save battery', that is what I was talking about :) I'll do a clean install of the testrom one of these days and keep you posted.

First of all, I updated from a (clean) installed version to the latest by using the OTA supplied in that version. Everything but notifications work excellent, thanks for that. As reported before, notifications on my phone seem to be a bit bugged. Now that I use the WhatsApp WebClient I actually...

This seems to be working so far. Have been closing WhatsApp for the past 24 hours and had no delayed messages being pushed. Could be coincidence though. Also, I forgot to mention I rarely use 3G. I am always on WiFi.

Reporting back on my issue with WhatsApp messages not being pushed 'out of sleep'. I've installed PNF Root but that did not fix it. I did not change any settings in PNF. Messages still don't get pushed when screen is off. Also, it does not matter if the phone has it's screen off for 3 hours or...

I've recently flashed to the 20150802 build, using the update flash so without a factory reset, and ever since it seems like my WhatsApp isn't synchronizing when the screen is off. It only seems to push newly received messages whenever I turn on my screen.

I agree. Had some issues when installing the latest version. Someone advised me to do a clean install so I did. Now it's working better than before, no more bugs. Had one freeze and a few minor things but nothing that makes this ROM unsuitable for daily use. Keeps getting better.

Thanks, will try. I updated with 'dirty flashes' because it states "Updates from older NightOwl Betas should work without Factory reset" in the OP. I did wipe the dalvic-cache each time.

It seems like there is no 3G or HSDPA etc. icon in my tray during an active connection. Also, when I disable Wi-Fi my signal strength is displayed with an exclamation mark while functioning properly. This was reported before for BETA 7.x.x but seems like it's still active. I'm using BETA 9.0.1...
