At least if you get a Huawei phone it's only at least 3 months between updates. The hardware is great but updates leave a lot to be desired. I know as I have Huawei p20 pro. I suspect Samsung are just as bad. I also have a pixel 3 XL. Which gets monthly fixes and updates without the bloat.

I enjoy my Pixel 3 XL because it gets prompt android updates. I hated my Huawei p20 pro because you only got firmware updates about every 3 months or so in UK. I'm not having any problems at all with the phone.

I received the same update yesterday for exactly the same phone (on EE UK). At this rate we'll get android 9 the middle of next year. I wonder whether every other Huawei P20 pro that get rapid updates will get Android 10 before 2 years is up. Except we'll be so far behind on updates they'd have...

Just got EE UK update 159. It took 3 months since last update and security update went from September's to October. They can't even release the current security updates remotely on time. Never mind any system updates. It should be December's update by now! I wonder if we'll get android 9 in...

My phone is sim locked to EE in UK clt09 (c782). EE are very slow at updates. Is it EE or Huawei who update phone? No matter who they're still slow updated. Ive only just got 133. Do the SIM free versions get faster updates? or not?

Just received b133 update on carrier locked clt09 c782 UK variant. Has September security update. Because of slow updates it will probably be some time till the next update. Obviously it will be well behind some other European carrier unlocked phones. By then I'll probably have a pixel 3 XL.

Currently B156 on non carrier phones (at least in Europe). As far as I know there's No sign of android 9 on beta for uk locked phones. I wonder if we Will we only get one major android update (android P)? Will we run out of 2 year period for us to get all current updates.

My EE UK sim locked phone is still on firmware b131 with Googles July security updates. Its at least four months out of date. I think googles current update is sept/Oct. The Google July security update will have been passed to the mobile operator by Google in June one month before its officialy...
