This is so strange... cause it's been around since HTC Desire. And this is one of the reasons I changed the stock ROM on the Desire... and not it's back in this high end phone called HTC One X, unbelievable. Who would really want this "feature" in the first place?

Worked for me too! HTC Desire. Hit the MENU button inside ROM Manager, then clear the download cache. After that go to ROM manager again, and you can flash recovery.
