Can't see it I have a Moto G7 running Android 9 Pie with Nova Launcher. The only time I ever see the indicator (and thus know it is there) is when running the Android Auto app. I have granted it all the permissions it asks for. How can I get it to show all the time?

The Capacitive Buttons app isn't working for me on vanilla 5.1.0: "Error: Changing permissions of file failed: /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/brightness (Permission denied)". The app does have root permission with SuperSU.

The files in 9/1 and 9/3 are identical. I think you have to go back to the one in build 1.

I think Internal storage is /data, System storage is /system, System cache is /cache, and A2SD storage is /mnt/asec.
