Are there any cons of taking the update? I am still on ME7 right now. If I accept the update to whatever is next will it break safestrap or any other mod-critical feature? I have not safestrapped yet because I am really just wanting a vanilla Kit Kat rom or Cyanogen.

I read something on here about "do not flash the latest update" less than 1 minute after starting the update. I actually contemplated doing a battery pull in the middle of it. In the end I just let it ride. Hope I made the right decision.

No I didn't flash that kernel. I just flashed the rom and started using it. My phone is at this very moment booting CM9 up. I'll try this rom again when things are ironed out a bit more.

For me, this rom was way too laggy for every day use. The Google Voice app only worked about 60% of the time as well. I'm going back to CM9, but I'll try this again later.
