There might be a new version of Play Services out. My remote issue fixed itself last night without me doing anything.

There might be a new updated version as mine started working normally last night. I had the same issue however I was just to lazy to try to fix it. Last night it was working without an issue.

you can extract the theme apk from your phone and install it like a normal apk on your wife's phone and she will have this option.

OTA has not been released yet. Also if you download the OTA to adb sideload it won't instal. :(

Sorry, I don't read french but I think you need to keep clicking the "button" on the bottom right with the unlock icon on it until it completes. It's been a long time since I went through the process so I don't really remember but I think I had to click that thing a bunch of times before it...

Sorry don't have time for details but you have the stock recovery installed and that is the correct default behavoiur. You need to install a custom recovery like ClockworkMod or TWRP and go from there. I suggest you do lots of reading to make sure that you don't get into any issues.

I think it is the new "Google" feed. I opened Google on my watch and clicked through a few things and it went away. That's what I am guessing fixed it.
