IFAIK you can simply longpress the "umlyaut" key in your keyboard.
Short pressing will show you a small yellow rectangular with the current layout. And the long press will switch it ENG-HEB.

i saw your post regarding the hebrew keyboard on x1.
i cannt seem to make my hw kb. switch to hebrew.
i have the latest firmware and version of pdac.
i selected the option to define the switch keys myself but nothing seems to work.
