Stump Root worked for me on 26A. Had to do the brute force thing and it took about 5 minutes, but it worked.

Same problem here but on a Windows 7 machine. USB debugging enable, most recent windows drivers installed, uninstalled and re-installed. No matter what I do, ADB does not see my phone. Really frustrating because it has worked on this same computer previously before the Kit Kat update.

I guess I'll give it a try this evening when I get home. Hope one of them works with KitKat.

My DNA is showing as s-off re-locked. I'm guessing the re-locked part is why I can't flash SuperSU update. How can I re-unlock?

I'm in the same situation, took the update and lost root. Weaksauce says I'm rooted but any app requiring root access says I'm not rooted. Also, ever since the update I can't get into recovery. Has the method been changed?

I was getting the same go back and read error. Re-installing the HTC Windows drivers solved the problem for me.

After the RUU, I let it update to 2.06 then ran Moonshine. I then let the rest of the updates download and install. I lost root after the last update. I'm still S-off and unlocked so I think I'll be able regain root if I install a custom recovery and flash SU. At least I hope so. Can't try until...
