I've read somewhere of an xposed-module called "MagnetOff", which prevents the phone to wakeup when a magnet is discovered. I think i can remeber the person used it to disable the Smartcover function. But I've never tried it.

Yes arter97-kernel version 7.0.1 works fine with the slim deodexed ROM. And for everyone interested unofficial xposed works too. Wanam xposed has some minor bugs but I'm very happy with it.

I'm not a pro but I think you can use the kernel for both, custom- and stock-ROMs.
