Hi DrakenFX, I downloaded the hosted H636 KDZ file named H63610k_00.kdz (10k) I flashed it with LG Flash tool 2014, and it went fine but my version is still 5.0.2. I don't see an OTA update after flashing, to get me to 5.1.1. Just wondering what's up with that. Thanks for any replies.

I have 5.0.2 and don't notice many bugs if any. Battery life is excellent l, 2-3 days if not used much. I have a fido lg Stylo h636 and want to update too but I've rooted with king root. What a mistake because now I can't update. Any fix for this?

Today I installed the latest TWRP recovery and also rooted using Odin. Twrp for the Avant variant will work for the sm-g386w I am using it now on mine and worked without any problems. Also to root you can use Odin With the Avant md5. Worked well on my sm-g386w Have fun!
