It just puts the status bar back to normal, as in black instead of grey, just like it originally was on the S3 and like it is other devices. The 'transparent' one just removes the status bar background altogether, you see the wallpaper instead.

Actually I was wrong, mine did go back to grey, I had brightness on lowest so it looked black. So this update has given me an ugly status bar, put back the deafening shutter sound, made the phone a bit more laggy, for a couple of gimmicky features I'll never use. Great! :cyclops:

In the CWM app choose "Reboot into recovery mode". Once in recovery mode you can backup your phone as it is now (to restore if anything goes wrong), and then you can choose "install zip from sd" i think it's called, to install this status bar mod. (For help on the backup this guide helped me...

Think I found a bug. In the Gallery app, the black bar remains on screen over the top of your photos. Not sure if it's because I used LJ2 on LJ4 phone?

OK, on my LJ4.... Transparent LJ2 = Black at first, but then becomes transparent when i start using notification bar (remains black on lock screen and in apps) Black LJ2 = Seems to be black, and staying like it (don't know if it helped that I went from the transparent to black). Thanks!

I don't know what the difference is with the different versions in the OP, but when I go to "About" on my phone it gives a build number which ends in LJ4 - does this mean I can't use any of these? (Using stock JB). This grey status bar has ruined my whole week :crying: Why, Samsung?

Just put 2.2 on here (january) Seems to be fine so far, but still can't install Flash Player 10.1 - is this normal? Btw we gonna get a section on xda for this phone or
