Post [APP] LG QPair 5.0.8 with little patch...

I can't seem to install the app, i get the "package appears to be corrupt" error. Any ideas? I'm using Resurrection Remix v5.8.0 (Android 7.1.1). I used to use QPair all the time but one of the updates stopped the build.prop trick from working :(

Post Redmi note 3 yellowish display

Have you tried disabling automatic contrast (i.e. setting contrast to "standard") on both phones and comparing again? The only other think I can think of is maybe there is more than one manufacturer for the screens and this might be normal?

Post [THE ULTIMATE GUIDE]Unlock bootloader,TWRP,Root,Patch boot.img,Edit OTA zip etc.

The fastboot commands should be: Fastboot Flash aboot emmc_appsboot.mbn Fastboot Flash abootbak emmc_appsboot.mbn Fastboot Reboot I can't take credit for these since I found them on another thread (which I can't remember the link to). Make sure the emmc_appsboot.mbn is in the same folder as the...

Post [THE ULTIMATE GUIDE]Unlock bootloader,TWRP,Root,Patch boot.img,Edit OTA zip etc.

I had the same issue. Solved it by enabling "Enable OEM Unlock" in the Developer menu (same menu where you enable USB debugging). To unbrick the device, start it in fastboot mode and connect it to the computer. Then use fastboot commands to flash the stock (unmodified) emmc_appsboot.mbn file.

Post [APP] Hi Locker - Enter your name, status, iOS, Lollipop & Classic style

Almost perfect... This app is awesome, I can finally get lockscreen notifications on JB 4.1.2!! However, I've just installed the latest version (1.1.3) and I have a few major issues: Major Issues: Avast thinks Hi Locker is dodgy. It says "suspicous file detected - CoudReputation", which I'm...

Post [Q] Unlocking bootloader & flashing new kernel = brick?

Ah, so you managed to flash a custom rom/kernel without rebooting after unlocking the bootloader? At least that confirms that something else is responsible for bricking my phone. When I bricked my phone, I didn't wipe cache or dalvik - I started from a fresh stock rom...didn't even root or have...

Post [Q] Unlocking bootloader & flashing new kernel = brick?

If you flashed a custom rom that required an unlocked bootloader, then I assume it's because it comes with a custom (i.e. non-stock) kernel? After unlocking the bootloader, did you let the phone boot normally before flashing the custom rom?

Post [Q] Unlocking bootloader & flashing new kernel = brick?

Yeah I've done a lot of reading & following guides for rooting etc. I've been searching through the bricked devices threads and it has now put me off unlocking the BL  I found this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48773344#post48773344) where someone has...

Thread [Q] Unlocking bootloader & flashing new kernel = brick?

Hi everyone, I've got a quick bootloader unlocking query - if I were to unlock my bootloader and then immediately flash a custom kernel (i.e. no reboot in between), would this cause a hard-brick? I ask because I'm on my 2nd phone now, having bricked the first one due to impatience! I'd like to...

Post [Q] [URGENT] Xperia S Bricked. Won't start

I'm probably not the best person to help with unbricking but have you tried following the unbricking guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1849170 ? Assuming your PC has the correct drivers installed (i.e. you could previously connect your phone in flashmode), what...

Post [Q] What to do with a bricked Xperia S?

I'm not sure a replacement battery will let the phone enter flashmode, I mentioned earlier that I tried various spare sony ericsson batteries (same voltage rating, but fully charged) and the phone still did nothing :( I think I'm either going to sell the phone on ebay as faulty and perhaps get...

Post [Q] What to do with a bricked Xperia S?

I thought about buying a replacement battery just to get enough juice to start the phone, but there's no guarantee that it will arrive fully charged and the phone might just drain the new battery anyway without allowing it to enter flashmode! I have tried charging the battery as much as...

Post [Q] What to do with a bricked Xperia S?

Yeah, I'm currently trying to discover a new unbricking technique - wish me luck! I've learned a couple of things from this experience: removing the battery in the xperia s is surprisingly simple the back cover is held on by a random mix of both torx and "+" shaped screws the torx screws are...

Thread [Q] What to do with a bricked Xperia S?

Basically, I've completely bricked my phone and I'm wondering what to do with it. What does everyone else do with their bricked phones? Sell them on ebay for parts? Smash it against the wall? Brick more phones and build a house out of them? I've already posted in another thread about the...
