Me too, signed up to a free 3 months a few days ago. Working well yesterday, since this morning I can't open the app. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, cleared cache/data and nothing. EE handset too. Although didn't use the 6 months free offer from EE. I'll use that when my 3 month one expires...

I can confirm that changing the language to French solved the problem instantly! Amazed at how quick it was! Worryingly though Huawei support have told me that if I want to change the phone for one without the issue I will lose the pre-order Bose headphones! Surely that can't be right? Sent...

Mine was from EE. No case and I have the gmaps issue. It's definitely not a setting problem because it occured again after a factory reset. Really like king the phone otherwise so I hope it can get sorted soon. As it seems to only affect very few handsets I might ask for a replacement soon...
