Lol same here. My OCD is what triggered this post. I had issue on dp5..took ota to stable pie and still have. Already did a factory reset with no luck. Issue also happens if I use Pulse for sms so it's not specific to Android messages. Seems to be Pie bug...or maybe something with contacts app...
