Post root on 6.0 and a known exploit... quadroot

I was under the impression that the bootloader being locked only pertains to trying to install unsigned images, the method used for rooting mm in the same manner as lp would require a modified boot.img and no one has a working system image dump for mm being the reason no one can modify the...

I read that alot of the time root access exploits are found by finding apps...

Post Bootloader Unlock and 6.0 Flashing Progress.

This may be a dumb question but is it possible to use quadrooter to gain root access on 6.0 and then use the exploit to install super su?

No, you should be able to rollback as long as you get the kdz for the most recent version you had prior to the 6.0 update.

Post Root lg h900 real with tot make by tungkick

I'm gonna go off on a limb here and assume that because the g4 and v10 share pretty much the same hardware and the root methods are pretty much identical, that the v10 won't get a mm root for the same reason the g4 won't get it. If you're on 6.0 I suggest you roll it back to 5.1.1 if you want root.

Post system access on h810 with 6.0?

I just want to know if every one can access the /system on 6.0 cause I thought you had to have root to get to it.

Thread system access on h810 with 6.0?

So I upgraded to 6.0 but can still browse and copy/delete from but not copy to /system, no supersu and it won't let me install it. Is this normal?

Post ATT LG G4 Marshmallow is rolling

Try updating through the "about phone" settings page, I was rooted when I got the notice. AT&T sections out updates to keep load off their servers, sometimes it can take up to two weeks to a month before the update pushes to all users :/

    Post Rooted lollipop vs marshmallow

So I haven't had any crashing issues on 6.0. The main impression I get with 6.0 isn't exactly better battery life, it's just better stand by time. Knock code now forces 6 taps vs 4 on lp. Permission management is meh. Personally 6.0 w/o root is trash and not worth the sacrifice.

    Post Cannot get past setup

to anyone wondering, this method does not work on the lg g4's setup wizard. i had this issue and the only way i found that worked was to do the tot recovery, kdz may work as well but tot was what i went with and it fixed the issue perfectly.

    Post Rooted lollipop vs marshmallow

well i just did a tot recovery cause i had the "lgsetupwizard" crash issue when i did a factory reset on my device. so i have decided to go for the 6.0 update, don't get me wrong root is very valuable but without twrp i can't restore my device if a issue like that pops up again and i very seldom...

    Post [ROM][Stock][Rooted] D850 20f Stock ROM Debloated

i've removed carrier iq from KK roms both ways and never had any FC issues, i haven't played with LP long enough to say that the system dump method described in my last post will result in FC's when recompiled but the first method does work and is solid. i'll post back later when i have...

the steps to remove carrieriq 1, freeze the LADDM.apk (i use root uninstaller pro from the play store) 2, in a root file explorer, navigate to /system/lib and remove "libiq_client.so" and "libiq_service.so" 3, go back into root uninstaller and uninstall LADDM.apk if you're looking to remove it...
