It gets rid of the symlink in between /data and /data/data. One of the devs (iirc) said that this would fix the issue, but make things a bit slower. Either way, its fine to flash on this rom, if you want. It just runs a script, doesn't replace any files or anything.! Sent from my SGH-I897...

It would flash on and off ( or "pulse" ) if we had a real led. The way led notifications is written means that you can only have them turn on and off. (Technically, you can write code to make them flash, but it kills the battery because the code constantly has to run). Sent from my SGH-I897...

Thats what I figured, and I know that Nexus devices are (almost?) always unlocked, but $650 is a lot to drop on a phone if I don't know for sure that I won't be able to use it, you know? :o

Im in a similar situation as the guy above (want to use a Bell/Virgin one on Rogers). If I buy it off contract, and don't buy any service, would it still just be a matter of popping in my Rogers sim? For the record, the guy at the source said no, but retail isn't always the most knowledgeable.

You realize that a. Those are factory images, and therefore useless to the devs and b. They aren't even 4.1 factory images, they're 4.0.1 (the exact same code we already have on our devices), right? Not to mention demanding the devs start rebuilding right now is incredibly rude, considering...

Pretty sure it has to do with not having the correct libraries for the gpu, and therefore not having gpu acceleration in apps. However, the Nexus S has the same gpu as us, so *hopefully* when ics for crespo drops, it'll just be a matter of using those libs.

Its the build number. All AOSP builds have them. Additionally, this isn't CM9 yet, it hasn't been merged.
