As far as I'm aware, the EE UK Pixel 2 XL bootloader can't be unlocked. The unlock option in the developer settings is greyed out. I tried using "fastboot flashing unlock" and "fastboot oem unlock"; neither is successful. Does this tool do something above and beyond the fastboot method?

Yes, fits perfectly with the issues I've seen. My work SIM was restricted to 2G, and I was seeing the slow performance issues all the time. 3G was finally enabled on that SIM recently and I don't think I've seen the performance problems since. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Have tried mirroring with both the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 to two 2013 'smart' TVs. One is an LG, the other a Samsung (don't have the model numbers to hand). The LG connects fine, but lags to the point if being useless. The Samsung connects, but then immediately reports that the mirroring session...

Very true. I put up with about 7 months of my Nexus 4 being unable to have WiFi and Bluetooth enabled at the same time, to the point where, if I forgot to disable WiFi before using my BT headset, the Nexus BT stack would just die completely and need a reboot. At least it seems possible for them...

I believe that is a different issue. There have been Bluetooth/WiFi coexistence issues on the Nexus 4 for sure (recently fixed for some in the 4.3 update, but at the expense of slower throughput when BT is enabled). The main slowdown issue discussed here doesn't -- in my experience -- relate to...
