wide angle works perfectly on Pie roms (all aosp based pie roms). In Q roms wide is almost fixed and macro works perfeclty on new Trcam v5

it will work perfectly on willow and ginkgo as the newer roms are based on a unified device tree, a single build for Ginkgo and Willow. NFC will work too :)

if you are already on the previous LOS build, a dirty flash might be enough ( wipe vendor and system, flash rom and gapps optionally and reboot), if there is any issues with booting, you have to do a clean flash and format, normally happens when there are major changes like new Device tree, etc.

Xiaomi Devices already have ANX camera, which is pure port of MIUI stock cam for custom roms. flash anx cam module from magisk download sections and you will be able to use all the lenses (in pie roms). Aux in Q roms are work in progress.

the newer EMMC chips have very much improved data transfer (read/write) rates compared to the older ones as in Note 2 and all. but still it has less performance compared to the latest UFS 2.1

it is because in Redmi Note 8, the device uses a single antenna for bluetooth and wifi reception and also uses similar frequencies, so there will surely be interference. Try changing the wifi frequency between 2.4/5.0 GHz, it might fix the issue

secure lockscreen means if you have enabled any kind of security locks like fingerprint, pattern, etc. you can hide the power menu in secure lockscreen to prevent unwanted reboots without your permission :)
