I'm hibernating keyboard just because it consumes power. That's so with SwiftKey and TouchPal which are great with swype/slide functions. Built-in keyboard in 4.4 doesn't but I don't use it. Huawei phone has this power consumption warning and those 2 are regularly on the list.
