Oh, try mi flash tool beta first. It doesn't require you to login and use the Chinese Rom Global. GO to recovery and use 'Mi Assistant', plug to PC, use the Mi Flash Tool (beta) if the most recent one is not working. On set it will tell you that you can't install the rom, there will be an error...

I have the EU version and using the global k20 pro version on my 12/512 variant. I think they merged the rom for k20 pro and k20 pro premium.

Yes, you can tell by the MIUI version. :) It is running smooth except some aps are no longer compatible with Android 10. Like Netflix. :'(

I root using magisk via ADB. I didn't use TWRP because I can't flash it for some reason. After I install TWRP (k20 pro), it reverts back to redmi-recovery 3. Meaning I can't install TWRP permanently. I want to flash K20 Pro rom and try if it will run even underclocked. ---------- Post added at...

I just unlocked mine, as in just now and root it using magisk via adb. No twrp.

Well, first we need to know if there is a twrp for this phone yet. Then we can root. Haven't unlocked mine yet until I see a twrp for raphaels.

I am pretty sure it is not compatible because its code is 'raphaels'. Yes, I own the device and I'm not gonna risk bricking my phone. :P

I'm using gcam. If you have magisk, search for xiaomi, look for mi a1 camera, don't install it or if you want it install it. Click "about" and you'll see the link of all gcam to use.
