I'm having this conundrum as well. I currently use MM on my Nexus 7 2013 due to better idle time and more reliable WiFi. It seems like there is no way to fix this vulnerability without moving to Nougat.

I'm eager to learn about this as well. Since I run Marshmallow on my Nexus 7 2013 due to better standby time, can this be vulnerability be patched via a kernel update or will I be forced to move to Nougat?

Is there a reason that DRM (Netflix) works on Oreo but not Nougat?

I have the same settings on Nougat but have found that standby is noticeably worse compared to MM. I'm not quite sure why.

Is anyone getting WiFi drops? I woke up today to my Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 2013, both running LineageOS 14.1, dropping WiFi after a few seconds of being connected. I haven't seen this issue on my laptops or my iPhone.

Is it bad if mpdecision is not running? I'm running the unfixed r29 on Lineage and mpdecision doesn't seem to work. However, my device seems to be faster and run cooler than other kernels. I know mpdecision on the Nexus 5 made the phone run hotter than normal. Wondering if this is the case here.

I can't find the setting to modify Quick Settings Tiles in the May 23 build. Is this feature not present in the ROM?
