    For my region, I've been receiving security updates every month, my current Security patch is December 2017, Huawei never missed a single monthly security patch afaik since Nougat in my region C636.

    It's not just Huawei who skipped 7.1.1 and the security updates depend on the region you're on, I'm in SE Asia and the latest update has the September 1, 2017 security patch

    For those having problems with this update (due to incomplete flash procedure) use the latest Firmware Finder on the Play store and update through HiSuite using their server side proxy.
