just saw the post you wrote a month ago about speech recognition, and realized we got exactly the same handset. Mine was purchased in France, I unlocked it and use it in Vietnam.
I try to root (using donut 1.6) to put cyanogen mod, but unsuccessful. Did you manage to do it, and if yes, anychance you tell which method you followed?
