I obtained an XT1766 (Qualcomm) with build NCQS26.69-64-11 from an mvno called Tello (aka Sprint). The state that all the phones they sell are unlocked. The SIM say Sprint on it. When I asked if I could use it on a GSM carrier they said it is only CDMA compatible. The XT1766 spec clearly shows...
