Yah, I looked in the other thread and still had no success.. I do agree either I get a cheap SG phone or just pay a friend to wipe out the device and I connect to it til I get all the goodies I want on my device. thank you, tvos

So what does rooting my Gear S give me? I am using trying to get my HTC M8 (running MIUI 7) working with Gear S. Anyone interested in the challenge helping me to get this working? I will give that person a few dollars for this. tvos

I have found that the latest firmware when applied breaks your root and also boot into recovery does not work. It will sit there for about 5 minutes or less blank blue screen and then boot menu with options. It would be nice to have a update if the chief will cook again. Thank You, tvos

I just recently flash to the latest ver. of MIUI 7 - Didn't delete my cache, settings etc. What I noticed in that the HTC sense camera is gone. How to get this back? Please advise and Thank You, tvos

Question about rooting and installing the apps w/o gear manager. I have a HTC M8 device trying get it to recognize as a Samsung device by changing the build.prop etc. Still no success. If I root this device, will it give me access to install the Tizen apps (.apk's) by itself or do I need Gear...

yes, but the prop is that build.prop restores back to it's original settings. even after read/write mounting, editing the file and saving. my guess is that this is a integral part of the process because the phone old settings for build.prop is in memory. you just can't save and try to re-launch...

Can someone tell me when I edit the build.prop , then save and reboot. The build.prop is back to original configuration. I have mounted r/w, saved the file and same problem where my settings are not saving. Any ideas would be helpful! Please advise and Thank You tvos
