had same problem,I had to flash back to 1.2.6 in order to update to 1.5.7.Check the Android development forums under[GUIDE] Flash SBF to Motorola Atrix 4G.Hope that helps

had same problem and wound up putting sbf in the c:\Downloads folder,after that it loaded up& flashed w/no problem.
