It would work as long as 1. The network admin of your school didn't shutdown the port its running on (which is most likely) 2. Your college doesn't have a sign in page after you log in

I believe an issue was reported where the screen won't come on after awhile in the newest version.

I've personally only experienced 1, and it doesn't happen often. Different strokes.
