If you used the stock 4.1.2 or aosp will not work But i remember reading that a person had succeed in make it work on htc m7 4.4.2 by pulling some apks from note 3 rom so give it a try

it is very difficult (nearly impossible) to make a port like that but in S3 case the hardware of it is almost the same as N2
