Generally for most people, it would be impossible to obtain access unless a known security loophole is found. I think this should be rare especially since Samsung provides regular security updates. Personally I would only be worried if my phone is an off-brand Chinese ones (no offense though!)

I think this is a similar case with felixdd. FP still actually works in Dark Mode, but NOT when you enable "force enable dark mode" in developer options because that will dim the green light which causes the fingerprint camera not able to recognize anything. As for the screen off FP behavior...

Hmm never had that kind of issue before. Maybe try registering your fingerprints again? In fact, washing your hands could make it worse as it dries your fingers. I do know even from Pie that my phone sometimes won't even try to scan my fingerprint (the "green circle" doesn't appear) after...

Have you tried turning off Adaptive Battery or Put apps to sleep? I noticed more frequent app reloads with those options on. I think they're too aggressive in conserving RAM.

I have tried the new swipe gestures and it's not that great if you use phone case and screen protector. Tried changing the sensitivity and it's still not so intuitive; horizontal swipe sometimes accidentally registered as back action, swiping up sometimes switches app instead of closing, and so...

Just checked in SamMobile that Malaysian A50 have received Android 10 (A505F)... I think it shouldn't be long now to release it to other countries.

Have you tried it with dry finger? In my opinion the A50 fingerprint scanner is already reliable in Pie if your finger is moist enough.

I say don't get A50 if you want to play around with it. Yes, it's a great value phone, but only for average users. So far there's only few GSI ROMs and it's still somewhat buggy for most people. Consider a OnePlus phone instead. It has great support for custom ROMs and tweaks.

I'm in latest Oreo 8.1, April security update 2019. TA-1032 build 4.43E SP02 with stock recovery. All completely untouched. So that mean I have to find a 7.x zip file and update through recovery by SD card, then only I can flash using OST, is this correct?

Hi! I tried doing this with locked bootloader, but the OST LA always gives 0xc6da error code. I could perhaps opt to unlock bootloader, but the options is greyed out in developer options. Any solution?
