    android 4.4 Kitkat arrived on my Nexus 7 today. I'd been checking ever now and then so I was happy to find the upgrade was now available. There was a message saying the upgrade was available through Nov. 26th. I never remember seeing anything from previous updates.

    Apps Apps are an issue with me. While I adore my Nexus 7 2, lots of apps come first for the iPad and only secondarily for Android. Then many are phone based, not tablet based. I'm planning to buy the iPad Air for the larger form factor and for access to some strategic apps for web designers...

    Thank you for the suggestion, but I noted your reference was in the developer forum and I'm not a developer. If I tried this and something didn't work I'm sure the vendor wouldn't take this back.

    No, it just happened by itself. This shouldn't happen in the normal course of use.

    Tried that...it didn't work. Got a little android guy with his belly open with a triangle saying no info. I could see no way to get back to factory condition. Now all I can do it to depress the power and volume rocker and have google sign comes up followed by the pulsating x. It never boots or...

    When I press the volume down button, it cycles through these options: start, start rebooter, recovery mode,power off, I pressed the power button when it was on start. Then google and the pulsating x come up...but so far it does not boot. If the unit is going to reboot, how long should this take?

    My Nexus 7 is just 2 days old and today I found it wouldn't boot. The X came up and then nada. I tried holding the start and volume buttons down and then I got this boot loader screen. Sorry I'm a novice and have no idea what to do now. Please advise!:crying:
