I can verify that flashing GApps won't fix it. I did a clean flash off to try to fix it and I saw google now issues in a few days.

I've had more success with Paranoid Android GApps. I prefer it because it has the older version of TTS that enables downloading high quality voice (as long as you download it before you update TTS)

I came from CM11 on a XT1045 and I think the combination I used was going into mounts and storage and formatting /system, /data, and /cache. I also went into advanced and wiped dalvik cache.

I was able to take pictures immediately after flashing 2015-01-15, but after letting it sit on over night it stopped working. The only way I've found that it will take pictures is if it's fresh from reboot and even then it seems to struggle to store it. Maybe doing the KSM trick is the best way...

Camera is working Latest nightly seems to have fixed the camera.
