There has been quite a lot of discussion about Micro SD cards in these threads in the past years. Indeed, the Samsung EVO seemed to be the preferred choice. I'm sure there are now slightly faster cards in terms of random access but I don't think they will help you much. This is one of the...

If the issue persists on clean stock ICS then it's a hardware fault, sorry.

Then my only idea is to flash stock GB/ICS and check if the issue persists. You can also try CM11. It is possible that the touchscreen broke during the flashing process (not necessarily because of it). I don't seem to recall people posting this issue in this thread but perhaps someone will share...

Some chargers and USB cables interfere with the touchscreen. Make sure you don't have anything connected to the phone when testing.

You can always flash stock GB/ICS to check if it's a hardware issue. Make a CWM backup first so you don't lose data. Also, as previously stated, make sure your SD card is not damaged otherwise you won't be able to restore the CWM backup. If the stock ROM works, you can do a clean install of CM11...

CM12 is not supported anymore. If you don't want CM13, use CM11. I prefer CM over AOSP, it has more built-in functionality, but that's just my personal preference.

First of all, CM12 is not supported anymore. Pick either CM11 or CM13. A step by step guide for dummies is available at https://github.com/LegacyXperia/Wiki/wiki Also, you don't need to root your phone to install CM.

Thank you for your work. But don't you guys want to start a new thread for CM14 (Linage 14), even a temporary one for alpha test builds? Nougat related problems would be discussed there without cluttering the Marshmallow thread.

Hi! You need to install the Xposed build linked below for the October CM build. https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-android-4-4-4-t3249895/post64063168#post64063168

This is a CM11 thread. For CM12 related questions use the CM12 thread at https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-mini/help/faq-2011-legacyxperia-discussion-t3053947 A) CM11 uses clockworkmod recovery which supports nandroid backup and restore. I don't know about CM12, ask there. Anyway, CM12 is...

The recommended Gapps are Mardon's mini package: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/hdpi-google-apps-4-4-4-upd-20150513-t3108049xperia Everything else is too big (including opengapps). microG is a reverse-engineered opensource implementation of Gapps. Basically it's a...

You're getting pretty low write speeds, I wonder why that is... Can you actually use those big cards in these old phones? I always thought there is a 32 GB limit or something like that.

Video recording works just fine for me. Check what's keeping your phone awake with BetterBatteryStats (here on xda). I am getting much lower consumption with wifi always on. I am using microG instead of Gapps, that may have something to do with the battery consumption.

Here are my tests of a 32 GB Samsung EVO (74% full) and a 32 GB Sandisk Ultra (also 74% full). I am not really sure if these numbers are good or if there are better cards in the same price range.

Using microG instead of GApps has helped me quite a lot with speed and battery life. Definitely worth checking out in my opinion.
