The capacitive home button on my Streak 7 died due to static shock. I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often since the phones are always in a pocket.

I found a post in the Dell Community about freezes after the HC upgrade that says to do a factory reset. I didn't do a factory reset after the upgrade because almost everything worked flawlessly. I just did a user data reset yesterday, let's see if this solves the freezing problem.

After the official Honeycomb upgrade, my Streak 7 have been freezing around once a week. It doesn't start freezing right away, but the app that's running starts to run slow and if I try to switch apps or go to the home screen it would freeze completely. Before it completely freezes I can hold...

I have that OEM number as well, I install honeycomb using the link from another thread and its working fine. I didn't event have to do a factory reset, almost everything worked fine.

I have a GLUNB1A133830 as well. Why no love for 338's, Dell? I'll try the link if there's no upgrade by Friday night.

Does the update wipe all your installed apps? I've read that it does and that it doesn't, so I don't know what to think.

I was eyeing this case too. But since the button is already broke, no point in getting a case now. Hopefully, this will be a non-issue once I install honeycomb since it'll have the action bar. Assuming it works just like 3.1 on a galaxy tab 10.1. In fact, I might be looking for a way to disable...

My home button is dead (pretty much, it sometimes decides to work) due to static electricity. I don't feel like calling dell if the hardware buttons are not really needed with honeycomb. I hate returning and shipping stuff, so I want to avoid it if I can. Plus, I almost never use the home button...

Are the hardware buttons disabled after installing honeycomb? Since honeycomb has the action bar.

The home button is working again after I left it alone overnight and restarted it in the morning. After thinking about it a bit, it seems that every time the home button stops working, it's after I take the Streak out in my jacket pocket. I think this may be a problem with static electricity...

Home button just stopped working. Its happened a couple of times before, but it comes back after a day or so. Is this a common problem on the ds7? I didn't find any mention of this anywhere. If honeycomb have the button bar at the bottom when its released, this wont be a problem.
